We have a dedicated team of dentists who are able to provide emergency dental care 24hours a day, 7days a week. There is no need to be a registered patient and we welcome patients from London and beyond.
Upon calling us an emergency dentist will be dispatched to attend. A brief history of the problem, along with personal details will be required.
We deal with a wide variety of dental emergencies including:
Toothache
This may be due to a variety of reasons including infected/inflamed nerve tissue, decay, abbesses, gum problem, cracked and broken teeth. The emergency dentist will assess the cause take x-rays if appropriate and diagnose the problem. Root canal treatments, extractions and fillings can be done at the same visit if appropriate, A true 24 hour emergency dental service.
Swellings
These can be quite distressing, and if left untreated may potentially become serious. They can be due to a variety of reasons, most usually involving diseased and infected teeth. Sometimes swellings can be drained, or the source of the swelling can be removed. Again, the emergency dentist will need to assess whether this is possible.
Trauma
Trips, knocks, falls and fights. We've seen it all! Teeth can be broken, knocked out, or loose. If appropriate, the emergency dentist can repair, replant or splint teeth.
Broken teeth
These sometimes cause no pain, in other instances they can be very painful. It is important to get dentist to attend to this as soon as possible. Our emergency dental team will endeavour to see you and fix your broken teeth with a an aim to restore cosmetic and function as painlessly as possible. The emergency dentist may need to take x-rays in order to assess how badly broken the tooth is and what the best course of action is.
Wisdom Teeth
These can cause a lot of distress and pain, difficulty in opening the mouth and swelling. It is important to see an emergency dentist as soon as possible. We can extract wisdom teeth(we have a specialist oral surgeon with many years of experience). Despite what you may have heard, the extraction of wisdom teeth in the majority of cases is a relatively straight forward procedure.
Loose Crowns, lost crowns and Fillings
Although there may be some sensitivity, these can be very easily re cemented or replaced. It is important to see an emergency dentist immediately to help reduce the risk of potential infection.
We understand that when patients are in pain, they wish to be made comfortable as soon as possible. Delaying treatment in most instances will only increase problems. We deal with many nervous patients who because of their anxiety have let problems escalate. This is not unusual and we are highly experienced and welcome nervous patients.
